Robert Klein Advocates for Public Funding of Genomics in Québec

During his visit to Québec City for the BioContact congress, Robert Klein of the California Institute for Regenerative Medicine, addressed the participants on the importance of funding genomics.



Robert Klein, from the California Institute for Regenerative Medicine, is not one to stand idly by when destiny strikes. In the early 2000s, when his son was diagnosed with diabetes and his mother with Alzheimer’s disease, he launched a monumental crusade that would lead to the State of California unblocking $3 billion in tax dollars for stem-cell research.
