About Daniel Lamarre


Daniel Lamarre started his academic career in 2003 after spending 13 years as a scientist in the pharmaceutical industry. He now works at Université de Montréal where he is Director of the Molecular Immunovirology Laboratory at the Institute for Research in Immunology and Cancer (IRIC), Professor in the Department of Medicine and Director of the Hepatology / Gastro-enterology Research Axis at the Centre de recherche du CHUM. He also holds a Novartis / Canadian Liver Foundation Hepatology Research Chair at the Université de Montréal. Dr. Lamarre has extensive experience in drug discovery and is responsible for the IRIC / UdeM High Throughput Screening Facility. This platform accelerates the identification and validation of therapeutic targets and facilitates the discovery of therapeutic molecules as part of translational research projects.
