Congratulations to Pr. Guillaume Bourque from the Department of Human Genetics at McGill University and researcher at the Génome Québec and McGill University Innovation Center, whose project Genetics and Genomics Analysis Platform (GenAP) has been funded by CANARIE, a nonprofit organization that funds programs for advancing the digital infrastructure in Canada.
With this funding, a new software platform will facilitate the distribution and analysis of genetic and genomic data for the life science research community, including a Web portal to facilitate data access, visualization, and analysis through distributed high-performance computing (HPC) centres.
CANARIE’s funding totals nearly $435,000, with co-funding from Génome Québec $200,000.
