Zellweger Spectrum Disorder (ZSD) is a rare genetic disorder causing multisystemic complications affecting growth, vision and hearing, brain and liver. Most patients harbor mutations in PEX1 gene and suffer from chronic liver disease which may progress to hepatic cancer.
