When it comes to human health, genomics can be a game-changer.


Using genomics to study the DNA of humans provides powerful information that can lead to improvements in diagnosis and treatment in everything from cancers, to inherited and infectious diseases.


For example, using genomic tools, researchers discovered that treatment with multiple drugs was the best strategy to fight the HIV/AIDS virus and to keep it from spreading.
