Genomics in the spotlight at the BIO International Convention in San Diego

Daniel Coderre, President and CEO of Génome Québec, was present today at the BIO International Convention in San Diego for the Québec Pavilion opening. He took the opportunity to thank Health Minister, Dr. Gaétan Barrette, who reiterated its support in Génome Québec by highlighting the $40M granted to the organization in the last Québec budget.



As mentioned by Mr. Coderre, this funding will have a significant strategic impact on Québec's competitivity at the national and international levels. Symbolically, announcing it in San Diego, in the midst of one of the world's most important life science conventions is very stimulating. A major part of the money will be used to fund precision medicine initiatives that address real needs, aligned with Québec's society priorities.
