Next October 5, Génome Québec, in collaboration with the Association des communicateurs scientifiques, is organizing a café scientifique on genetic discrimination – protecting the citizen and advancing knowledge.
Genetic information raises complex issues for society. What are the risks for the citizen of being discriminated against by this information? What are the forms, if they exist, of genetic discrimination? What are the consequences of the fear of being discriminated against on the advancement of research and the health of citizens?
Come and hear Professors Yann Joly and Daniel Sinnett as they address these subjects at the café scientifique, moderated by Jean-François Cliche, journalist at Le Soleil.
